Our FOCUS at the 4th and 5th grade levels is to have FUN and understand the value of teamwork and enhancing the player’s basketball knowledge and fundamental skills. Balancing competition is the priority in selecting teams. A maximum of two coaches may request to work together.

• Fee:  4th grade..$200.  5th grade..$200, plus $200 will be charged if the volunteer hours are not met.
• A parent manager is highly recommended to assist coach
• Teams will start in early November with the season concluding in late February/early March.
• Teams will have up two practices per week. Practice times and locations will be set by your coach.  
• WMYBA provides reimbursement for 4th grade to play in four tournaments.  5th grade will be reimbursed to play in 5 tournaments. League for 4th and 5th grade start first week in December.  Playing time is shared equally in the Waconia League.  
• Teams may play in additional tournaments, at coach's and parent's agreement and cost
• Teams will not participate in league play on tournament weekends.
• Schedules will be available either before or at the first practice.
• Parents are expected to work at our hosted tournaments in which their child is participating, if available.

• Strive to create a fun and entertaining environment for the players, families, coaches and community.
• Seek to maximize the potential of every player in the program.
• Foster the importance of teamwork and the understanding that all team members play an integral part in the success of the team.
• Promote skill development and create positive self-esteem for every player.
• Encourage and foster player participation for the full length of a player’s youth sports career.
